Release Notes: OTRS 5s Patch Level 30

Security Issues

    Please note, that from now on we will only officially support versions OTRS 4 and OTRS 5 and following versions.

    Important for Updating

    • From a previous version of OTRS 5:
      • Make sure you run bin/otrs.Console.pl Maint::Config::Rebuild after the upgrade so that the configuration is refreshed. Otherwise the system may not work.
      • If you upgrade from OTRS 5 Patchlevel 2 or earlier, please run scripts/DBUpdate-to-5.pl once during the upgrade to fix possible issues with dysfunctional notification tags.
      • if you upgrade from OTRS 5 Beta 5 or earlier, you should manually update all ticket notifications that are set to be shown in agent preferences. In the ticket notification management admin screen for each notification, scroll down to „Notification Methods“ and check the „Send by default“ checkbox from the „Email“ section on each notification.
        • Background information: „Send by default“ is a new feature introduced in OTRS 5 RC1 that adds a new layer of control to administrators to decide if an enabled notification method is used by default or not if an agent has not directly specified this preference. This option is now set by default on new systems or upgrades.
    • From OTRS 4.x: Please consult our admin manual for detailed instructions.

    Bug Fixes

    • Bug#14023 – Timeline View is broken when a body string contains closing script tag.
    • Bug#14044 – DefaultOverviewColumns and DefaultColumns configurations are inconsistent.
    • Bug#14030 – Values of the type field are translated in the bulk view.
    • Bug#14025 – backup.pl may delete a backup it just created.
    • Bug#13767 – Search result wrong displayed when there is only one result in IE 11.
    • Bug#13987 – The value typed in e.g. customer user is deleted frequently, if already one customer user is selected.
    • Bug#13957 – POP3 fetching mails in wrong order.
    • Bug#13614 – Title is shown based on the first article in customer ticket overview even if the first article is marked as not visible for customer.
    • Bug#14011 – ‚Backspace‘ key returns to previous page in modernize field selection.
    • Bug#14004 – Packages are only accessible via HTTP instead of HTTPS.
    • Bug#14003 – Not possible to add more conditions on process transition edit which has more then 10 conditions.
    • Bug#14008 – Kernel::System::VariableCheck::DataIsDifferent() does not work if one data element is undefined.
    • Bug#13968 – Attachments with spaces in file name does not work properly.
    • Bug#13997 – Error in pattern matching for DiskSpacePartitions.
    • Follow-up fix for Bug#13805 – Distribution OpenBSD is not recognized by support data collector.
    • Bug#13986 – UserSearch function does not work for login with upper-case letters on case sensitive databases.
    • Bug#13972 – API documentation: missing default permission types ’note‘ and ‚owner‘.
